Paris, Heaven for Foodies and Heiratage Lovers - Basilique du Sacré Coeur

Basilique du Sacré Coeur located in Montmartre is a popular landmark. The primary reason is because of the magnificent Roman Catholic church dedicated to the heart of Jesus. Another reason is it is the highest point of the city, a good location to overlook Paris.

I didn't want to throw any more physical challenge to myself of climbing up to the Arc de Triomphe. So, I suggested to take a short ride by this cable car. Also, it is a good way to avoid potential pickpockets / cheats usually happen along the stairs or slope.

A mark on the floor around the church made me think of Disneyland.

Do you know how to keep the church remains in white over the years? The secret is from its building material, travertile stone which constantly exudes calcite to protect the white color from weathering and pollution.

It is the last photo before entertaining the church for it ban shooting.
