Prague Summer - Beer Beer Beer‧

Czech instead of Germany is the largest beer consumption country in the world. Here's the factory of the oldest and most reputable beer brand.
Beer Beer Beer.

Production line floor plan.

Used bottles are sterilized here.

Raw ingredients of beer.

The staff is getting us some young beer for tasting.

The true look of young beer with a bitter taste. For the beer available in the market, the color is lighter and clearer that earned the brand a nickname of "golden beer". Pubs in Czech usually offer beer from 1L.

Prague Summer - Life in the Middle Age Castle‧

Knight A: Can you hear noises outside?
Knight B: Hei, you see, there is a number of people?
Knight A: Why they are here? Revolt?
Knight C: Didn't the lord tell you?

Lord: Listen, my men. My honorable guests have arrived. Get ready to show them how good you are.

Baker A: Lord, my delicious breads and snacks will certainly make the guests feel your greatness.

Baker B: I bet the guests would prefer my fresh biscuits with home-made honey.

Lady: Lord, the guests seem admire you much.
Lord: Of course, I'm the owner of this castle and I have you as my beautiful lady.

Donkey Keepers: Donkey wanna perform as well.
Donkey: This is not my will.

Performer A
: I am the best. See my juggling show is pretty entertaining. Gusts are excited.

Performer B: Boy, only my excellent (puppet) horse ridding show can be awarded the best.

Performer C: Don't forget my belly dance. It's hot and sexy. All guests agree I'm the best of the best.

Performer C: Right, darling Snaky?

Lord: Well done, my people.
Lord: Dearest guests, thanks for visiting me. Wish this fireworks show would brighten your lives. Take care.

Prague Summer - Food Food Food‧

Food in Czech can be simply described as meaty, meaty, meaty.

This large roasted pork knee is for one pax only. The knee was very tender. Do you know which part was most delicious? It's the meat near the bone with little fat. You won't forget the taste after having it.

Roasted pig again.

Look like traditional Chinese roasted pig but this one contains less fat. Can be served with mustard.

Roasted duck, a very traditional Czech dish. The taste was quite alright. The white one is bread dumpling and the yellow one is another kind of dumpling. Both tasted so so.

There are many delicious dishes, like smoked salmon. Pity that I forgot to take photos.

Prague Summer - Beyond Prague, Inside Český Krumlov‧

Where were I? Here's Český Krumlov, another UNESCO World Heritage site in Czech Republic.

Way toward Český Krumlov Castle

Why there's a clock on the wall?

Probably wanna remind tourists how long they have spent on admiring the beautiful scenery.

Large World in a Small Window

Souvenir Smith

Real brick? Fake brick?

The bricks and most of decorations are wall paintings indeed.

Castle Tower. Quite Russian style in my eyes.

Take the armor. Become a knight.

Guess what is inside? (the answer is at the bottom of this page)

There are 3 bears in the castle (all are locked separately). It's said that if you can see them all in one visit, you will be very lucky. Here's one in the picture. Let's try your luck.

Time to remind you where you are again.

Q: Guess what is inside?
A: Cheese (seems something similar to thousand years egg haha)

Prague Summer - Architecture Exhibition‧

Prauge was endorsed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992. With the official announcement, the beauty of this cultural city has been widespread and numerous tourists have been attracted. The local government has spent great efforts on conservation, like prohibiting large vehicle to enter into historical area, such as Charles Bridge, Own Town Square, etc. Probably this is the major reason why we can still admire the original scene of "The Golden City".

National Museum of Prague in Neo-renaissance Style built in 1885-1891

Some more classic buildings. Do you know what styles they were built?

Some old buildings are sold to private companies. These buildings may serve as hotels, restaurants.etc and open for public after renovation. The picture shows Four Seasons Hotel.

Old elegant street lamp, which is similar to those in Central, Hong Kong.

Apart from culture conservation, Prague also allows room for creativity of contemporary arts. The modern building in the picture was constructed in 1996 with a nickname of Dancing House because of its outlook. Can you see there's a gentleman dancing with a lady?

What is the "building"? This big brown round pillar is a public washroom. If you wanna have a look inside, just put in a coin and you can become the self-served guest. It is located in the premium brand area, just next to LV. Probably the government understand people usually spend much time on shopping in the branded shops, thus, they set such a caring facility there.

Prague Summer - St Vitus Cathedral ‧

St. Vitus Cathedral is the most beautiful building in Prague in my eyes. This church has set a typical example of Gothic architecture since 1344. The cathedral is so large that it's hardly to take a full view in one picture.

The main tower, yet, was finished in Baroque style years later.

Symmetrical window.

Painting of last judgment.

Ornate entrance.

Zigzag ceiling everywhere.

Each stained window carries one story. How many can you identify?
