The Great Ocean Road - Episode 9: Wildlife Wanted

Day 2: Lorne

Give and take. The Great Ocean Road offers the most fantastic scenery while visitors have to pay attention to the curvy road, especially some short corners.
A landmark tells the history and geographic information of the place.

The salty wind and cliff-top view was refreshing.

There are over 10 shipwreck sites along the coastline as proofs of the power of the ocean.

See the needle like object in the sea? The chauffeur claimed it was from the sink ship

One excitement of traveling along the Great Ocean Road is meeting wildlife. All the rainforests, beaches and rocks from several coastal towns provide the best natural habitats for animals. We played a visit to one of Australian tourism ambassadors, Koala at Kennett River. A funny scene there was every tourist raised own head to spot if there was any koala in the trees. "Here's one", a visitor announced and others walked over. This koala was having a good sleep and looked like a stuffed animal.

One more is found. This one did move but its eyes seemed not open. So, I doubt if it was a sleepwalker.

On the contrary, the parrots there were more active. And they were eager to make friends with tourists who had bird seed in hands.

There were tons of reasons we took break during the self-driving trip. For example, the chauffeur spot a wild echinda while driving on the highway. It was too shy to say hi to us.

A lonely pillar box also could be a reason for a break.
Another corner the chauffeur had to handle.
