New Experience in Bangkok - Siam Ocean World

I doubt aquarium is a pre--set activity on my leisure trip itineraries. In Bangkok, we visited Sea World, a large-scale and fun aquarium. Kids loved the dancing show at the entrance of the aquarium.

Tiny curious eel-like little things peeked at visitors from sands.

Beautiful Pterophyllums.

Colorful tropical fishes swimming here and there.

Hardly found the sea otters from the rocks if they did not move.

The penguin was in hurry.

Shark can be found in every aquarium.

Modern housing style for fishes. This installation carried a message to remind human not to throw any rubbish in the water to harm marine creatures.

A staff was busy washing coral.

New Experience in Bangkok - Amphawa Evening Floating Market and Frefly Watch

The second destination was Amphawa Evening Floating Market. Amphawa is a small district which is rich in heritage and history.

A little shop in Anphawa. I remember a friendly volunteer reminded my friend and me to be careful of our belongings.

Fish ball like snacks tasted spicy.

Doggie for sale? Not sure who posted a price tag on this lovely dog.

The famous floating market attracted number of visitors, including my friend and me. Most hawkers were selling food.

Our target was seafood which was delicious and cheap. The only drawback was there were many disturbing flies.

Full of energy after a big meal and it's the time to visit firefly on our private boat.

Bon voyage. Lots of fireflies lightened up their yellow or green bulbs on their tails busy flying trees on a river at night was such an amazing scene. I do miss it and hope can see it again. To protect the little bugs, we must not shoot them with flash. Otherwise, you will send them to death.

New Experience in Bangkok - Mae Klong Railway Market

My friend enrolled a private tour so that we could explore somewhere new. The tour guide took us to Mae Klong Railway Market located in the Samut Sonogram Province.

We entered salt producing area on the way.

The windmills nearby for draining up water and filtering salt.

Here's the fun part of the Mae Klong Railway Market. There were only several trains passed the market daily. So the street hawkers occupied the tracks most of the time and only gave way when the trains approaching.

Various kinds of lovely eggplants.

Food packed in bags which local people bought for instant dishes.

Our tour guide recommended this yummy snack.

New Experience in Bangkok - S31 Sukhumvit Hotel

Comparing to Suhkothai, S31 Sukhumvit was more convenient to explore Bangkok. Nevertheless, my friend and me still preferred Suhkothai because of its professionalism.

The hotel was in contemporary style. The highlight was the transparent swimming pool which I did not shot to protect swimmers' privacy.

Large Panorama View Suite.

Sleeping room and bathing area was at the upstairs.

The bed was quite good. But not sure why the bathing area was relatively small for such a large room.

New Experience in Bangkok - Thai Cooking Class

My trip was really an enjoyable one for my friend arranged a series of fun activities we did not try before, say cooking class.

My friend picked Baipai which provided transport service from and to the hotel you stay. A small corner of selling cooking tools.

The (outdoors) clasroom was well equipped.

Everything was ready and handy.

Here's the cooking module. All students watched how the teacher prepared a dish first, then tried themselves according to the provided recipes. Look at the mirror on the ceiling which allowed students to watch demonstration more clearly. What a thoughtful design.

Demonstrating how to make a deep friend cup.

Yummy filling in yummy deep friend cups.

Hoho. I suddenly became a Thai cook in the cooking school.

I love the curry most which was rich in taste but not too hot.

New Experience in Bangkok - Cruise in the Evening

Thanks for my friend's arrangement. I did have a fun and relaxing trip in Bangkok. My friend booked a cruise as the official kick off of our 5-day trip.

This cruise ship was so crowd. Relax, it's a water bus instead.

Here is our cruise ship which is in traditional Thai style. The gal in pink was responsible for dancing and music instrument performance.

View from our cruise ship. The site was probably built by the Chinese community as there are Chinese characters on the buildings.

Wat Kanlayamit - The temple was served as a donation to the king from a Chinese nobleman around 200 years ago. The main building is in Thai style while others buildings in the site contains touches of Chinese style.

Wat Arun - The Khmeter-style tower of this royal temple was once the tallest building in Bangkok.

Besides of beautiful view along the Chao Phraya River, the local Thai food was good too.

Wat Rakhang - The name means bell temple since there are many bells insides.

Royal Grand Palace - the official residence of Thai king and also one of the most popular tourist sightseeing spots. The actual scene was much more beautiful than the photo as my camera is not good at night.

New Experience in Bangkok - Luxury Accomodation at Sukhothai

Staying at Sukhothai was a wonderful experience. The hotel was very beautiful and appealing. The more important point was the staff were friendly. Impressive services.

Though the hotel is located in the financial district, its resort-like garden helps customers to relax.

Felt having peace of  mind at the Chedi Pond.

The hotel entrance demonstrated elegance.

The Deluxe Suite was sooooooo large. Bathroom and washroom were on the left. Sitting room was in the front and bedroom was on its left.

Bed is always a key factor for me to evaluate a hotel. I rated Sukhothai full mark.

The coffee machine was cool.
