Hi again, Singapore - A Touch of Local Flavour @ 21 Seafood

Talking about Singapore cuisine, pepper crab and chili crab are truly ones of those die, die, must try dishes. Instead of going to renewed seafood restaurants, my friend suggested to enjoy the local favorites at a rather small restaurant in a residential area - 21 Seafood.

The presentation doesn't not appealing? Well, it depends if you eat food or the look. This black pepper crab is meaty and rich in black pepper flavor. Slightly spicy. Super yum!

My friend recommended egg yolk crab which is also popular among the local people. The taste was fantastic. The chef added herbs and chili which further enhance the aroma of the dish. Excellent.

See the crab claw. It's in giant size compared to the crab body. Price in local eatery is usually more friendly. These 2 big crab were sold at SGD50-55 in total. A crab in a restaurant located in tourist area can be sold at SGD50-60. It may costs more if you choose imported crab rather than commonly used local mud crab or pick a live crab from the restaurant's fish tank. Check before you go. Otherwise, you may be shocked by the bill.

Deep fried buns were good to soap up the thick sauce of egg yolk crab. The fried asparagus were good to clear the strong smell in mouth.

The battlefield of 2 humans and 2 crabs.
