Okimawa, the Beautiful Island - Okashigoten @ Onna

Almost every visitor purchases purple potato (beni-imo) pastry as gift from Okinawa to friends and families. The pastry is made in boat shape, similar to the one next to the right pillar of the photo below. So huge?! No worry, those for sale are in 2-3 bites size only. Among the purple potato pastry makers, Okashigoten is one of the most well-know chain store and this photo is taken at its Onna outlet.

The Onna outlet features a restaurant where you can enjoy the stunning view and delicious southern style cuisine. Where is the purple potato pastry? Well, it's not included in the lunch set. However, I tried a few later and can confirm it's good to buy.

For me, the natural scenery is far more attractive. This little thing sent me a welcome when I was rushing to the beach in front of the outlet.

Stunning view.
