Luxurious Dubai - Play a Visit to the Rich

How to uncover the life of the rich? Play a visit of course. A tour guide took a group of visitors to an estate owned by a rich family.

Dried date fruit is a popular snack in the Middle East. This rich family plants date palms to provide own supply.

The cost of keeping animals can be expensive. Thus, zoo is an important benchmark to distinguish if one is wealthy or not. The family have several monkeys as pets.

By comparison, swimming pool is a standard facility.

After a long walk, we finally arrived the home of the rich. Wait, the owner said the house is not really their home but is used to receive guests. The real residential area for them is beyond this point and privacy is well kept. Sure we respect it.

Under the cloth is not a human but an aroma stove. They used to put their clothes on it to make the clothes smell good.

The owner also treated us traditional Arabic tea and gave us Arabic calligraphy as souvenirs.

Luxurious Dubai - Lunch at Zheng He

It is said Zheng He is the most favorable Chinese restaurant in town of an Arabic prince.

The settings present the elegance of Chinese style.

Customers can go outdoors to oversee the Arabic Gulf, A good way to refresh after having delicious meals.

Chinese ceramic decorations and litter. Noted that it's hard to find a litter in China now.

Well, the food taste much better than they look in this poor quality photo. Almost everybody order soft drink because of the heat in Dubai.

Even the ceiling is well decorated.

Luxurious Dubai – Preface

Aug 24-30, 2008

Dubai, a city constructed by money was once a hot pick of travel destination before financial crisis. It is a place proves almost every human ambition can be achieved if there’s a government with insight, courage, commitment, capital, and is willing to spend over 30 years in converting a dessert into a financial and tourism center. Unluckily, financial tsunami not only swept capital but also charisma from this dreamland. Many constructions are suspended and people no longer able to afford luxury lifestyle in town. Nevertheless, Dubai is still a place worth to have a look in life.
